Do Listening to Quran Audio and Reading It Have the Same Reward


Although there are a lot of rewards for those who listen to the Quran audio or being recited but the weightage of someone reading it is also quite high. This blog post is all set to enlighten you with the clarifying remarks and prove that answer the normally asked question: ‘does someone get the same reward while listening to the Quran being recited as that of the one who reads it?’

If you pay close attention to the fact then things will clarify in an unexpected manner:

It has been advised for you to read the Holy Quran in a loud voice. So considering the person who reads it, he or she will get double reward as they are doing both reciting as well as listening to the Al Quran audio by their own ears!

However if you see in some other aspects then if a person does not know or has no command over the Arabic language but is an avid listener of the Holy Quran audio online then he or she too gets rewarded by the Almighty.

As mentioned in the Holy Quran, surah 7, verse 204:

‘And when the Quran is recited, give ear to it and pay heed, that ye may obtain mercy’

THE SUPERIORTIY OF RECITING THE HOLY QURAN OVER LISTENING TO IT BEING RECITED:

Although the Quran presents a clear picture of the importance of listening to the Quran, the recitation of the Arabic text aloud has superiority over it. Hence one can conclude by saying that you can do both, recite the Quran aloud and listen to it attentively as both are regarded as good deeds. Both of the above actions are quite noble and they tend to reinforce each other.

It is important for you to understand the Holy Quran and not just read the Arabic texts. When you read the Al Quran English online then you get to know the actual meaning that is being said to you via the Arabic texts. Not all are able to understand the Arabic hence reading the Quran in the language that you understand better will help you get a better grasp on the knowledge and implication of the same.
