Quran in English Language: Calm Your Anxiety With These Verses

Nowadays feeling anxious has become a part and parcel of our lives. Be it our work, family or healths, we often tend to get stressed and anxious about our state. Keeping your mind in a calm and composed manner will help you survive even the toughest of hurdles. With the holy Quran you will not only be able to leave your worries at bay but will also relieve yourself of much stress and anxiety.

The following are the verses of the holy Quran that will help calm your anxiety:

  • One thing that you need to make yourself aware is that no matter how much you plan, the Almighty is the best planner. So the verse: ‘…. But they plan and Allah plans and Allah is the best of planners’ (8:30), speaks volumes about thinking and trusting in the almighty’s plans as He is the best disposer of affairs.
  • The next verse says: ‘Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest’ (13:28). If you recite the Quran in easy English then you will be able to know the meanings of each verse. It simply hints on doing zikr, offering Salah and doing meditation can help keep you calm.
  • If you go through the surah Baqarah then you will read the verse (2:153) that says: ‘O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness and prayer. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast’. This verse claims that patience and prayer will help you get through your tough times.
  • The Quran in English language has a clarifying effect on the readers. ‘Lo! With hardship goeth ease..’ (94:6) which means that the world is a test and indeed with every hardship that you face you will get ease.
  • ‘….. Allah is sufficient for us and He is an excellent trustee’ (3:173). Keep in mind that your lord is the best disposer of affairs and leave all your worries and fear to Him. The lord is closer to you even more than your jugular vein and He is the all knowing and most merciful.
